A bit annoying as I had the Haldex serviced by main dealer just a month before. They plugged in there box of tricks and yes there was a fault code for AWD system so they had the car in replaced the pump and told me it was all good, but I have to say I couldn't notice any difference and still had wheel spin. Recently I noticed my tires would spin out during a hard launch. took it to Audi still under warranty and well they didn't find any codes but there was a TSB for Haldex pump going out they replaced it and changed the fluid. something repair kit on the work order. today it started acting up again, tires burning out during medium or hard launch. The noise is what I would describe as being a "high pitched" type resonance, almost a whine, but more of a "mechanical" noise. At first I thought that is was possibly the fuel pump or maybe even the exhaust system. The noise is intermittent, comes and goes, does it while parked and while in motion.

Hi! again, I have now changing the haldex pump and pressure sensor. I also change the oil and filter at the haldex awd. It was much better to drive but i still have judder in 4 and 5 gear when i drive upp hills. I can tell that the oil was some dirty when i chang the pump and pressure sensor.

Nov 04, 2021 · i have a vw golf r mk7 with gen5 haldex. no fault codes whatsoever present in 22 awd, but it os spinning front wheels only. so i replaced the haldex pump. then went into 22 awd - basic settings, amd clicked pump motor and go (with car running) the pump made intermittent noises and said finished after a few minutes. BUT the problem still exists. Air is unlikely to enter these pumps through the seal. c. Check all plumbing and joints in the pump inlet line, especially unions. Check for leaks in hoses used in· the inlet line. One easy way to check for plumbing leaks is to pour oil over a suspected leak. If the pump noise diminishes, you have found your leak.

The DEM box attached to the side can be removed with 2 allen bolts and checked or rebuilt by xemodex. the controller has 2 plug in pressure probes that trigger the control solenoid, they pull straight out to remove.

I would definitely try replacing the pump first. Also if you're already TD1'd it might be worth a visit to the dealership even if they say no, there's been enough haldex failures where they might goodwill it, even with the tune. Some stage 1 people got it replaced under warranty. Haldex 4 is based on throttle., I'm not sure why it would lose traction in a launch unless asphalt is really cold and/or have shitty tires. I would check the haldex pump or at least have it serviced. There's no reason besides the haldex not engaging the front tires on just a stage 1 remap. A week ago I noticed that the front wheels were spinning on a gravel incline. No aid from the back wheels at all. Car delivered to Skoda workshop and the fault was identified to be the electromotor for the Haldex pump. Pump was replaced today but problem is not solved. Message sent to Skoda factory today.

The new differential started wearing too. So I got a low mileage Haldex and differential from an Evoque (Gen 4 Haldex not Gen 5) and got Austen to service it and modify it before shipping.
